Links, Old Links & Resonance

For about two years after January 2009, there was almost total lull on this site. There were hardly two posts in the whole of 2009 and almost none in 2010. Absolutely inactive. In fact, the site had gone off the web. When I finally found time to think about the state of the site around December 2010, I decided to revive it. First, I changed Evolve.Ever to Evolve-Forever [Sebastyne suggested this for good grammar]. The revival in fact, required a number of fixes & tweaks to the site. Fortunately, all the content was intact. I had lost some of my old links [Oh Ian & Megan: have you changed the site or have you stopped blogging?]; but many were still active. Just to reassure myself that I could still write, I took time to add some posts first before reconnecting with old blogger friends. I pinged them from networking sites first. And then I started visiting their sites since yesterday.

First off, I was at In Pursuit of Fulfillment of Angela Atkinson. Angela has been a friend in my network since my early blogging days. Going over her posts, I noticed Help a Blogger Out: Got Links? which almost recounts the same set of events as those I first mentioned above. After you’ve read, you’ll know what I mean. It was a pleasant surprise since I was thinking the same things without knowing she had written a post there! I mentioned it to Angela through a comment.

Equally pleasant surprise was on at Fitnesolution by Kiran Sahwney. Kiran’s blog was one of the very first, in fact the first one about which I wrote a post while trying to make online blogger friends. My impression of her was that of an accomplished fitness expert/trainer [which she is-but just one of the many other interests to her credit]; but I realized, while reading Stagnate in Life or Emancipate she is such a multifaceted individual! When you read it, you’ll know how confident she sounds and how hard she has put her points across in response to a prompt. But even more interesting was the resonance of the theme of my blog in her article. The concluding part of the article is what I found so closely related to the theme of my blog as it appears on my home page:

It is strange, that some people do not grow themselves, and are also critical of others growth. They do not know the meaning of emerge and evolve.

Could it have been any closer? I made it known to Kiran. I also mentioned in my comment that I would trackback her story by doing a post about it on my site here. I’m delighted to find a resonance of thoughts by a long time networked friend.

Great to find my way to your blog through your very kind comment on mine! I do think we are of the same mindset, and look forward to connecting further. While I haven't gone away from my blog for any length of time, I have found my energy elsewhere these past few months. Moving across the country, a thriving business and a baby on the way will do that I suppose! :)

Anyhow, welcome back to the blogging world, Pushhyarag!
